“Dad, do you have to say sorry only if you get found out?”… When you hear a question like that as a parent, it’s easy to panic and instantly assume the worst! What’s been smashed, which child is unconscious, what’s happened to my iPad? But trust me, it’s even worse when you’re a vicar because they might just be testing you to see if you’ve got your theology right! Forgiveness, reconciliation, mercy, new beginnings… we’ve got that all sorted as Christians, haven’t we?
