Frailty, thy name is woman

Quando eu olho para certos magistrados, me vêm à memória cenas da minha infância, quando eu cutucava as lesmas que encontrava no jardim da minha casa. Aquela coisa repugnante, que me enchia de nojo. Dito isso, vamos a 'Shakespeare na mídia contemporânea'.

49. Frailty, thy name is woman

Tradução: Fragilidade, teu nome é mulher.

Significado:  A mulher é inconstante.

À medida que se satisfazia! e mesmo assim, ao fim de um mês...

Não quero pensar nisto!... Fragilidade, teu nome é mulher!...

Exemplo moderno: Frailty, thy name is not woman. Thy name, in truth, is man.

With apologies to William shakespeare, who said in great dramatic flourish and rhetoric in the play Hamlet “Frailty, thy name is woman!”, I have to disagree with him, at least today being  Women’s Day! It is one of the memorable expressions from that play and has over the years become proverbial. (Star of my Sore, 9 June 2017)
