27. Correção: We offer you a lot of/a great number of tips that will help you start a career in information technology. (a good deal of só pode vir seguido de um substantivo uncountable, isto é, um substantivo que é sempre singular, o que não é o caso de tips.)

28. Correção: We were delighted to see that our son had been accepted at Harvard. (delightful significa encantador, delicioso, referente a algo que nos causa prazer, satisfação ou deleite; delighted, por outro lado, quer dizer encantado, satisfeito, feliz.)

29. Correção: She asked me whether I had met her nephew at the party and I said no./said I hadn’t. (deny significa negar uma acusação, negar ter cometido algo errado ou ilícito. e não pode ser usado para simplesmente responder ‘não’ a uma pergunta.)

30. Correção: Today’s India is still very much the country Indira Gandhi shaped, although the party controlled by her family is no longer in power. (despite é uma preposição e vem normalmente seguido de um gerúndio ou da frase the fact that. Já although é uma conjunção e introduz uma oração.)
