17. Correção: We had to use the stairs because the lift was out of order/was not working. (broken quer dizer quebrado, avariado, mas não com defeito ou fora de funcionamento)

18. Correção: I saw her standing by the window. ou I saw her through the window. (by the window: perto da janela; through the window: pela janela, através da janela)

19. Correção: At first everybody thought Trump’s chances of winning the election were next to zero. (chance não vem seguido de to-infinitive e sim de of + gerund)

20. Correção: Nowadays it is common for women to have children at a later age. (to be common vem seguido de for e não de to-infinitive)
